Life Gets Interesting When the Cards Hit the Table

Hi, I’m Anne.

I’ve been reading tarot for over twelve years, ever since I wandered into a bookstore with a gift card and came home with my first deck.

I was hooked.

There is still something wonderfully strange to me about putting a deck of cards on a table, asking a question, and watching a story appear.

I’m a writer and researcher with a particular fascination for religion, ritual, divination, esoteric traditions, and all the strange ways human beings have tried to make sense of reality.

I’m also a chaos magician.

Which, for me, means I’m perfectly comfortable with the possibility that reality is much weirder than we think it is.

I like old symbols and new ideas. Serious books and ridiculous experiments. Tarot cards, synchronicities, impossible questions, and strange coincidences.

I don't need everything neatly explained.

In fact, I think things get much more interesting when they aren't.

That probably explains why I still love tarot after all these years.

I read the cards directly, without scripts or sugarcoating. Sometimes the cards are encouraging. Sometimes they're inconvenient. Sometimes they're downright weird.

Life gets interesting when the cards hit the table.
